NRC NEXT about Hiphonest

///PUBLICITY

Dutch writer Georgette de Koning, wrote an article about Green Fashion Trends in the Netherlands, for the newspaper NRC NEXT.  Besides some stylish Hiphonest fashion labels and stores, she quotes some anwers of Hiphonest and mentioned the good old YOIstore (by Kim Poldner and Annouk Post).

Angle of the article is that Hiphonest fashion is not a trend but a cultural shift.  Dutch Hiphonest labels are getting more established finally; happily! The market is growing and more and more new eco-stores are popping up. Like for example this very kool Hiphonest store Charlie + Mary.    (A report about this store will  follow in the new year)

Very important to mention: for consumers who like to rank their favorite labels on their ‘Green’ (or not Green) behavior; check out RANKABRAND.COM. Besides fashion labels you can inform yourself about travel, media brands and electronics.

Happy XMAS!

One night stand!

Another similar story to the previous post –from a blog to a fresh company- is the young Dutch (hero) blogger Nalden. With his unique and internationally recognized blog Nalden keeps reinventing himself and other businesses.

Nalden3

On his website you can about music, gadgets, technology, fashion, brands, art and everything that inspires this ’social entrepreneur’. Nalden created a very clever Wallpaper Advertising business model on which big labels like Nike, Vodaphone and Philips already took part.  Nalden: ‘The Good Things of Corporate Sponsorship. The Corporate Sponsorship of Good Things. This is my philosophy.’

That big brands like Vodaphone are really interested in these young creative entrepreneurs can be seen on the website of Vodaphone heroes. In this (click here) nicely shot video report you can crib in the office of Nalden: Naldisney. Nalden likes to bring the offline and online world together by organizing an exhibition called ‘One night Stand’, in only one single day….’Well, good luck’, we thought, but he managed to do this! Thanks to his big online network he had great art plus a lot of visitors.

From a stylish blog to a young and fresh company.

///INSPIRATION

What inspires Hiphonest is the new generation creative entrepreneurs that are starting their own fresh company.  Without having a long career in advertising or marketing these young creative’s just do what they love to do and have the real voice of trends. A good example is the story of Club Zonder Filter.

Club Zonder Filter dames copy

Club Zonder Filter is a young Amsterdam based marketing company and Creative Collective that develops concepts for brands and events. Josine Neyman and Kristel Mutsters are talented ladies behind this company. They explain their company name Zonder Filter, ‘without filter’, by having pure ideas and an open sincere approach. The say: ‘We use arts, culture, treasures from the old box, childhood memories and the streets and implement them in our concepts.’

In 2005 Club Zonder Filter was the new rumor in the Amsterdam club scene. What started as an stylish and update blog about parties, crazy things, awesome brands and all things that inspirited these ladies, grow out the be a young dynamic agency that works for several big brands, company’s and festivals. Besides having their own creative productionhouse Josine Neyman & Kristel Mutsters are busy being mayors of the Amsterdam nightlife, the stylish city heroes.

Les van DJ Paul3 copy

By checking their blog we found this very crazy movie about the dream Josine and Kristel had to become a DJ on a real Gabberparty. Not sure what gabberparty means? Check out this movie on Youtube. DJ Paul Elstack, the king of the gabberscene in Rotterdam helped these ladies getting ready for the big day. Click here to check their video report of Vodafone

My vision on the world; by YOI:

YOI

YOI:

'The deeper meaning behind this blog goes back to my personal vision on the world: 'YOI:'

YOI: is based on the ‘bigger picture’ in which we are on our way to a more beautiful and balanced world wherein sustainable thinking, design, fashion, people and business will make the difference.

In terms of the massive and dramatic environmental/ economic crisis that we are facing, this change is absolutely needed.

Basically the essence of this ‘awareness movement’ takes place in the being and hearts of optimistic but critical thinking people.

To define this particular mind shift I gave this the name/brand ‘YOI:’ As it stands therefore, ‘We’ as human beings are in a conscious global transition.' by Annouk Post
