Greenshowroom

///REPORT GREENSHOWROOM

Newcomer in ecofashion trade-fairland is the Greenshowroom, which took place in June this year during Berlin Fashion Week. This high profile luxurious showroom presented 15 ecochic labels. The founders of the GREENshowroom, Magdalena Schaffrin, with her label magdalena schaffrin and Jana Keller, with RoyalBLUSH, both felt wrongly placed in general fairs. So they came up with the Greenshowroom concept that was presented in the Aldon hotel.

Magdalena Schaffrin presents eco-luxury. Eco-luxury is the result of quality awareness, a sustainable design concept and the use of renewable and ecological materials. These timeless, classical and stylish pieces, made from eco-friendly fabrics are meant to wear for longer time. They look beautiful, feel delightful and last long.

#Collection of Hope

HOPE

The ‘Collection of Hope’ resulted from a workshop by students of the ESMOD fashion schools. ‘Let’s make a collection together. Let’s take it further and set up an independent company which both the helpers and the supported profit from. A collection to inspire hope.’

#Dancing

Another way of presenting clothes on a catwalk is this dancing show in the ‘inside garden’ of the hotel. To be honest a didn’t get a clear picture of the clothes in this way..Actually best snapshot was this picture with this creative and stylish girl.

Glorious GLORE

///FASHION REPORT BERLIN

glore3

During Berlin Fashion Week 2009, which took place last June, Pop Up Shop GlORE opened her doors in the stylish neighborhood Mitte. GLORE is already steady based as a total store concept in Nürnberg and München and as an online store. Pop up GLORE likes to team up with other stores and just move in for a couple of months. GLORE brings in great Hiphonest labels, a folding interior and hopefully another nice opening party with organic drinks.

Store Owner Bernd Hausmann: ‘Thanks to Annouk from Hiphonest and Kim from Ecofashionworld (both as well founders of pop-up  YOIstore) I was really inspired to open my own conceptstore.’ Thanks Bernd, ‘Das tut mir leid!’

GUYS GO SHOPPING!

Surprising was the varies offer of menswear, labels like Slowmo, Armedangels (see T-shirt), Misericodia and some nice pairs of the GRID (see picture))Collection of VEJA.

GLOBAL HIPHONEST CITIZINS

Besides an awesome collection of Hiphonest labels GLORE invited their international network of people working in sustainable fashion. Look who showed up, not on a red carpet but just in the streets.

My vision on the world; by YOI:

YOI

YOI:

'The deeper meaning behind this blog goes back to my personal vision on the world: 'YOI:'

YOI: is based on the ‘bigger picture’ in which we are on our way to a more beautiful and balanced world wherein sustainable thinking, design, fashion, people and business will make the difference.

In terms of the massive and dramatic environmental/ economic crisis that we are facing, this change is absolutely needed.

Basically the essence of this ‘awareness movement’ takes place in the being and hearts of optimistic but critical thinking people.

To define this particular mind shift I gave this the name/brand ‘YOI:’ As it stands therefore, ‘We’ as human beings are in a conscious global transition.' by Annouk Post
